Making The Most Of Garden Features

Landscaping a garden is a delightful way to add your own stamp on the aesthetics of your home. However, when I moved into my first home, I had absolutely no clue about the best way to design a great landscape, or even what garden features were. I have created this blog because I want to share the landscaping ideas I have picked up in the past decade. Water features, privacy screens, bird baths and statues are all excellent options for garden features. So, have a read of my blog posts and see which of the garden features I write about appeal to you.

Time For A Change? Why You Need To Buy A New Lawnmower

If you're still mowing your lawn with the same old lawnmower, it might be time for a change. Now that spring is officially here, you'll be spending a lot more time on yard maintenance. Using an outdated lawnmower can add time and effort to your lawn care. That's where a new lawnmower comes into the picture. A new lawnmower will take some of the work out of keeping your lawn looking beautiful. If you're not sure that it's time for a new lawnmower, read the list provided below. If you recognize any of the signs described here, now's the time to start shopping for a new lawnmower.

Your Current Lawnmower Is Rusted

If you're not sure that a new lawnmower is in your future, take a close look at your current mower. If the body of your lawnmower is rusted, it might be time for a replacement. You might think that rust is simply a cosmetic issue, but that's not the case, especially where a lawnmower is concerned. Rust is a sign that your lawnmower has been compromised, which means it's time for replacement.

You're Tired of the Breakdowns

If your lawn care is being undermined because of mower malfunctions, it's time for a replacement. Minor malfunctions don't always interfere with your ability to care for your lawn. However, if your mower breaks down each time you mow your lawn or your repair costs are going through the roof, you need to invest in a new mower.

Your Mower Isn't Eco-Friendly

If you bought your current lawnmower several years ago and it's no longer eco-friendly, take the time to invest in a new model. If you're not sure about your mower's environmental impact, ask yourself the following questions. First, is your lawn mower petrol-powered? Second, do you smell petrol when you mow your lawn? If you answered yes to either of those questions, it's time to invest in a new lawn mower. An electric mower is an eco-friendly way to mow your lawn.

Your Yard Has Expanded

If you've recently moved and your yard has expanded, it's time to take a close look at your current lawnmower. You might not realise this, but your current lawnmower might not be able to handle the pressure that can come with a larger yard. This is especially true if you're currently using a push mower, or standard lawnmower. If you've outgrown your current lawnmower, the best thing you can do is invest in a riding lawnmower.
