Making The Most Of Garden Features

Landscaping a garden is a delightful way to add your own stamp on the aesthetics of your home. However, when I moved into my first home, I had absolutely no clue about the best way to design a great landscape, or even what garden features were. I have created this blog because I want to share the landscaping ideas I have picked up in the past decade. Water features, privacy screens, bird baths and statues are all excellent options for garden features. So, have a read of my blog posts and see which of the garden features I write about appeal to you.

Need A New Lawn Mower? Why You Should Choose An Electric Model

If you're in the market for a new lawn mower, it's time to add electric to your list. Gas-powered lawn mowers are a great choice, especially when you have a large yard. But, there are benefits to an electric lawn mower that you might not have considered. For instance, electric lawn mowers don't need as much maintenance. There are other benefits too, though. Before you buy a gas-powered lawn mower, read the list provided below. Here are four reasons to choose an electric lawn mower instead.

They're Easy to Use

If you're looking for a lawn mower that's easy to use, take a look at the electric models. Gas-powered lawn mowers can be difficult to use. This is especially true if you don't have the strength to pull on the throttle cord. That's where an electric lawn mower comes into the picture. Electric lawn mowers don't have throttle cords. They have onboard battery packs. With the battery packs, you flip the switch to start the mower.

They're Lightweight

If you need a lightweight option for your lawn care equipment, an electric lawn mower is your best option. One of the problems with gas-powered lawn mowers is that they can get quite heavy. Unfortunately, the extra weight makes them difficult to maneuver around the yard. That's where electric lawn mowers come into the picture. Electric lawn mowers weigh less than gas-powered lawn mowers. That makes them a more comfortable way to mow your lawn.

There's Less Noise

If you have neighbours nearby, you want to protect their peace and quiet. That's tough to do when you have a noisy lawn mower. Unfortunately, gas-powered lawn mowers can get quite noisy. That's why you need to invest in an electric lawn mower. Electric lawn mowers aren't as noisy to operate. That means you can mow your lawn whenever you want, without disturbing the neighbours.

There Are No Fumes

If you're sensitive to chemicals, it's time to buy an electric lawn mower. Gas-powered lawn mowers emit fumes. Gas fumes can cause health problems when you have breathing difficulties. Or, when you have sensitivities to chemicals. Electric lawn mowers don't emit any fumes. That makes them a better option when you suffer from chemical sensitivities. As an added benefit, you won't need to store gasoline in the shed for your electric lawn mower. That means you won't need to worry about fuel odours in the shed either.
